Melbourne Airport Terminal 2

Melbourne Airport Terminal 2 is the main international terminal.

Levels

Melbourne Airport Terminal 2 has two levels:

Arrivals level

This is the Arrivals level and is equipped with Arrivals Hall, baggage claim, information counter, customs and quarantine offices and customs check.

Outside the building there are transport facilities: Bus, T2 Taxi Rank, Metlink, Bus Stop for V-line, disabled pick-up zone (maximum 15 minutes). From this point you can also take a pedestrian walkaway to Parking zones. 

Departures level

Hosts check-in rows B/C, F/G, K/L (east to west) – Past Check-in L (west side).

Once the security check is done you are allowed to enter the concourse, access to gates 2-20 is granted and services such as duty-free and shops are available. 

On this level you can find the connection with T1. You just need to access to Virgin check-in facilities and pass check-in A (east side) to connect with T1.

Distance inside the terminal

Distances in that terminal can be huge. Please, check walking times here: 

Walking times from security check to gates: 

Time to the farthest gate: 3 to 9 minutes. 

Transfer between terminals

Connections from T2 are easy since T1 and T3 are in the same building. You can take the walkway which won’t take you more than 5 minutes. 

To reach T4, you can take the pedestrian walkway from T1, it will take you 15 minutes.

Entrance fee: €37 / passenger (3 hours).

Qantas Airways International First Lounge: Third level. Open from 05:30 to 18:30. The House, Home of Etihad Airways and Other Leading Airlines: Close to Gate 10. Open from 06:30 to 22:00.
